For Nico Postmus of the social citizen party Oldambt Aktief we were allowed to set up the new website. The old website of the political party was unfortunately built in WordPress, and as often happens with WordPress websites, this one was also taken down by hackers.
With the help of the Waybackmachine we were fortunately able to find and view a lot of information that was on the old website. In this case, this was extra valuable because both the party and the old website were founded by Nico's now deceased son, Pieter Postmus.
When building the new website, we consciously tried to retain the voice of the deceased founder - who also designed the original site. In this way, his ideas are also tangibly present online in the new and partly rewritten texts.
In order to increase the findability of the website, we have rewritten and expanded the texts here and there. We also advised the party to regularly post a blog, for example about the party's positions. Google automatically includes blogs written in HWCMS in Google's news service AMP, which contributes to the findability of the website.
